A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §11-5-15, relating to requiring all classic and antique motor vehicles be assessed at a flat rate of $1,000.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §11-5-15, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 5. ASSESSMENT OF PERSONAL PROPERTY.

§11-5-15. Assessment of classic and antique motor vehicles.

    Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, beginning July 1, 2014, all classic and antique motor vehicles shall be assessed at the flat rate of $1,000.



    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to assess all classic and antique motor vehicles at a flat rate of $1,000.
